Disposable Clothing

The ELLGARD range of coveralls are designed to protect workers from a range of hazardous substances or sensitive products and processes. They are typically used - depending on toxicity of chemicals and conditions of exposure - for protection from fine particles, liquid splashes or fine liquid spray.

Why disposable protective coveralls?

In situations where cleanliness and hygiene are critical, disposable clothing provides a physical throw away barrier and may be the solution.

Contamination control is a major issue facing many industries. Contamination control of protective clothing can be expensive. Decontamination is not an issue as disposables are a throw-away item. Disposable clothing is commonly used in the following industries: food, medical, hospitals, pharmaceutical and research.

Disposable clothing helps control contaminations such as hair, skin flakes, sweat, dandruff, clothing threads, dust, bacteria, viruses, insects, chemicals, water, aerosols, pollen, fungi spoes etc.

Disposable clothing features and benefits:

  • No laundering required
  • No decontamination of garments required
  • Helps control contamination
  • Identify workers and visitors with specific colours
  • Wide range of options

Disposable Coverall Materials

Polypropylene or PP - Spunbonded polypropylene is a light weight, breathable fabric that provides economical protection against non-hazardous, grimy work environments. Spunbonded polypropylene is appropriate for wear in the non-toxic workplace and is a low-cost solution for protecting workers from dirty environments.

SMS/ SMMS - SMS/SMMS (Spunbonded-meltblown-meltblown-spunbonded) polypropylene barrier fabric is a unique trilaminate construction that offers high tensile strength and toughness that is also soft, drapable and easy to work with. SMS provides a fluid and particulate barrier to protect the worker without sacrificing mobility and comfort. Garments constructed of SMS fabric are strong, and durable, yet offer outstanding comfort, breathability, softness, and wearability. SMS is lightweight and resistant to tears and punctures.

Guartex - Guartex is a two-layer microporous laminated fabric. The unique two-layer construction provides a very comfortable garment that conforms to Type 4,5 and 6 providing protection against chemical and biological agents. Guartex is tough, soft, breathable, anti-statically treated and extremely comfortable to wear.
